Days One and Two — Travel to New York State Our Nova Scotia and French Canada adventure begins as we travel to Pennsylvania for a welcome dinner and overnight before arriving in New York state. Dinner and breakfast Day Three — Board The CAT Cruise Vessel Arrive in Portland, Maine this afternoon in time to board The CAT cruise vessel for the afternoon trip to Nova Scotia for an overnight stay in Yarmouth. Breakfast Days Four and Five — Peggy’s Cove and Halifax We follow the Lighthouse Trail to the village of Lunenburg, designated a World Heritage Site, and picturesque Peggy’s Cove, known as one of the most photographed seaside villages in North America. In Halifax, a local guide joins us for a look at this attractive and historic city, distinguished by having one of the finest harbors in the world. We will see the Public Gardens and Province House, the oldest Parliament building in Canada’s history, as well as the Citadel, a restored British fort which is now a National Landmark. 2 Breakfasts Days Six and Seven — Cape Breton Island and The Cabot Trail Cape Breton Island is a region rich in French Canadian, Mic Mac Indian and Scottish heritages. We visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum where many of his inventions are on display. We also travel the 185-mile circle drive through Cape Breton Highlands National Park where a kaleidoscope of magnificent scenery appears along craggy shores pounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Look-out points offer spectacular vistas of thick forested hills, lush green valleys and broad expanses of blue-green ocean. 2 Breakfasts, a box lunch and dinner Days Eight and Nine — Prince Edward Island (PEI) and Fredericton We take the ferry to Prince Edward Island, where a savory traditional lobster dinner awaits. Touring on PEI includes Charlottetown, a city whose core has not changed since it was settled by the French, Scottish, English and Irish and a visit to the Anne of Green Gables home. Leaving PEI via the Confederation Bridge brings us to New Brunswick. A stop at Magnetic Hill will boggle your mind as you watch our bus roll backward uphill, before arriving in Fredericton. 2 Breakfasts and dinner Days Ten and Eleven — Quebec City and The Holy Door Blessing In the walled city of Quebec, the charm of French Canada is right outside our door. A guided tour takes us through this beautiful city with its narrow streets filled with quaint shops and European architecture. See the Plains of Abraham and the Grand Alleé before visiting the Basilica of Notre Dame where North America’s only Holy Door will be opened for us to pass through and receive special blessings. Later we visit Montmorency Falls and Sainte-Anne de Beaupré Basilica. Tonight, we are treated to a typical Quebec feast in a traditional Sugar Shack. 2 Breakfasts and dinner Days Twelve and Thirteen — Montreal and Notre Dame Basilica Touring in Montreal includes Old Montreal, dating from the 18th century and impressive Notre Dame Basilica. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from Mount Royal and visit the Montreal Museum of Archaeology. There is free time to explore on your own, or shop in some of Montreal’s many stores and boutiques. Tonight, enjoy dinner and entertainment at a Montreal Cabaret. 2 Breakfasts and dinner Days Fourteen and Fifteen — Ontario and Home Continuing west, a farewell dinner and overnight in Ontario are in store followed by our arrival back home. 2 Breakfasts and dinner
